Fraserburgh Heritage Centre

Heritage and a more sustainable world

Funding awarded: £49,140

About this project

Fraserburgh Heritage Centre, currently undergoing major reconstruction following catastrophic storm damage in 2021, is a popular recreational, educational and fun space, catering for all ages and interests. This remarkable resource preserves and promotes the area’s rich heritage, of which the wider community is justly proud.

The Centre’s significant energy consumption does not align with the current climate change agenda. The proposed installation of sustainable solar panels will decrease operating costs and increase resilience.

Reduced overheads will secure this asset for the community in the long term, allowing income to be utilised for the introduction of new, and enhanced visitor experiences.
