Pregnancy Loss Garden

Funding awarded: £30,380

About this project

Funding for this project will help to create a sensory remembrance garden for bereaved parents who have suffered a pregnancy loss in North East Scotland.

Our aim is to create a beautiful, sheltered outside space with seating, privacy as well as scents and colours which have been suggested from our members to give them and others the space to grieve and help to reduce social isolation. Bereaved parents, our community and organisations can come together regularly to also help maintain the garden. With this grant we will purchase benches, native trees, conifers and perennials that will encourage native butterflies.
