This project is to install a battery that will further reduce the Shed's carbon footprint by utilising excess solar PV energy to power overnight standing loads.

In line with Just Transition principles this will reduce the Shed's carbon footprint by optimising local renewable energy use by this much used facility. The ensuing cost savings will help maintain a low operating cost that is reflected in the room rates currently enjoyed by user groups.
